230 g butter
180 g brown sugar
200 g sugar
1 tsp vanilla powder
110 g 03 Super Grain Flour Stout
200g wheat flour
Grated peel of an orange (organic)
Juice of an orange
1 teaspoon salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 dl chopped walnuts (or other nuts)
2 dl chopped dark chocolate 85%
Mix the butter, sugar and brown sugar until soft and fluffy, add the eggs, vanilla and grated orange zest and juice and mix thoroughly (use an electric mixer if you like).
Mix Agrain® 03 Super Grain Flour Stout, flour, baking powder and salt and add to the egg and butter mixture. Mix thoroughly.
Add the nuts and chocolate, stirring gently.
Make small balls of dough (50 gr.) - flatten the balls either with your fingers or a fork, place them on a baking tray with 5 cm distance between each, as they will flow out during baking.
Bake for 10 - 13 min until golden at 190 degrees (convection oven). Be careful not to give the cookies too long in the oven, they should be a little soft and chewy in the middle when cooled.
Let the cakes cool first on the baking sheet, and when they have set, transfer them to a wire rack.
Cookies are soft in the middle, so be careful not to move them to the cooling rack too soon, or they will break.
Walnuts can be replaced with other types of nuts, and if you want a less strong chocolate flavour, a milder chocolate can be used.
