180 g brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla powder
110 g Agrain® 03 Maskmel Stout or 01 Pilsner
200g wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 dl chopped walnuts (or other nuts)
2 dl chopped 85% dark chocolate
Stir the butter, sugar and brown sugar into a soft and fluffy mass, mix the eggs and vanilla in, and stir thoroughly together (use like electric mixer).
Mix Agrain® 03 Maskmel Stout, flour, baking soda and salt and add it to the egg and butter mixture. Mix thoroughly.
Add the nuts and chocolate, stirring gently.
Make small 50 gr balls of cookie dough – flatten the balls out either with your fingers or a fork, place them on a baking sheet at a 5 cm distance between each as they flow out during baking.
Bake for 10 – 13 min until golden at 190 degrees (hot air oven). Be sure not to give the cookies too long in the oven, they should be a little soft and chewy in the middle once they have cooled down.
Allow the cookies to cool first on a plate and once they have set aside to a grate. Cookies are soft in the middle, so be careful not to overbake them and not to move them onto the grate for cooling too early, then they break.
Walnuts can be replaced with other types of nuts, and if you want a less heavy chocolate flavor, a milder chocolate can be used.
Using 03 Maskmel Stout, your cookies will be darker and stronger in taste than if you use Pilsner flour.
